Department of political science is working since June 1991 along with the opening of the college. For first academic year. Mr. S. S. Pawar (Jr.College Staff member) conducted classes until the appointment of Mr. N.M. Somagunde, Since he was appointed against reserved post his period came to end and a new appointment of Mr. S.N. Salwade was made in July 1993

 In August 1994 Mr. P.S. Raut joined the department, presently he is working as a head of the department Mr. Salwade left the college as he got appointment in another college. In his place Mr. G.D. Dede was appointed as a second man in Nov 1995. He resigned the post in march 1996 Subsequently Mr. A.B. Galphade was the next man to join the department in Nov 1996 .He served the department for two academic years, as he got appointment in Vasant Mahavidyalaya , Kaij in May 1998. He also vacated the post and a new appointment of Mr.R.N. Nigade is made.

Presently Mr. P.S. Raut and Mr. R.N. Nigade are working in the department. Mr. P.S. Raut has attended international/national level seminars and presented papers. Mr. R.N. Nigade also attended national level seminars/conference and presented papers. He actively participate in cultural activity of the college increases and guides the students for involvement in various activities .He has been invited by various colleges and schools as a examiner, guest lecturer and to deliver a talks on various moral and social aspects. Presently he is working as a director of Swami Vivekananda Study Centre.
