About Sanstha

In Pre-Independence era, Gunjoti was a District centre known as “PAYAGH” in Hydrabad state under the rule of Nizam, This PAYAGH was the part of Jahagir given to Nawab Khurshid Jahagir by Nizam.

There had been facilities like Court, Collector’s Office, Hospital, Police station and Post Office before independence. Since the National Highway 65 passing from Omerga lies just 3 KM from Gunjoti, keeping the name “Gunjoti” as the district place the offices were shifted to Omerga. Though the local peoples opposed this shifting, the power did not yield.

Though Gunjoti was District head quarter, Nizam looked at it only for the annual income did not pay much attention for welfare and development of local peoples. Education is the master key in the progress and self-respect of man, should be available to the common peoples. This was impossible in such a state.
In the year 1927 Advocate Shrinivasrao Shaiwale and Haripant Rakhelkar Guruji along with few Social workers inspired by National spirit founded “SHRIKRISHNA SHIKSHAN SANSTHA” and started with Shrikrishna Pathshala at Gunjoti. As this pathshala was a private educational institution, Nizam Government had partial view as it. Government grants therefore were impossible. As the task started with spiritual thought, social well-being, selfless attitude disregarding opposition and economic difficulties, the institution striving to grow continuously.
Progress of institution depends not only on sincere teachers but also on the visionary management. In view of this, right from inception of the institution, all members of management look after for the development of the institute. Under the valuable guidance of Late Ex-M.P.Shri. Tulashiramji Patil and well known surgeon Dr.D.B.Patange, sanstha has started Junior college with Arts, Science and Commerce including Vocational Courses and Senior college with Arts and Science including Vocational Courses and Management Studies.
